What’s Up Peekskill? Update

Today at McDonald and Peacock Cider House, toss your own salad. 4-7 pm.

Vegetarian chef (and former NY Port Authority cop) Eddie McNamara will be signing copies of his hew new cookbook “Toss Your Own Salad: The Meatless Cookbook with Burgers, Bolognese and Balls” at McDonald and Peacock Cider House.

The restaurant will be serving recipes from the book as special menu items that day. Eddie is a former NYC Port Authority cop who worked clean up at Ground Zero. After that work caused him to develop PTSD and he was unable to leave the house, his wife signed him up for cooking classes, and he worked at the famous restaurant Dirt Candy in NYC, and his cooking career took off. He also created the popular Tumbler Toss Your Own Salad, which is the basis for the book.

Who knows, he might even have pumpkin spice?!?
