What’s Up Peekskill? Open Studios!

Peekskill Art Alliance’s annual Open Studios is this weekend. Get out and check out all our fantastic artists in studios, in homes, businesses and even in trucks. Yes, trucks. You can do a lot with a truck! I know a guy with a truck… You know, I don’t think Sam I Am ate green eggs and ham in a truck. In a car, yes. A boat, and with a goat, yes. But no, he would not, could not, in a truck. So with that knowledge tucked away, go see how our Peekskill artists P-rock in a truck.

What’s Up Peekskill? April Showers.

It’s a rainy day in April, go figure. It’s a rainy weekend, too. So brighten it up by going to the plant sale on Saturday at the Riverfront Green, and take in the cherry blossoms while you’re at it. When you’re done there, check out Dain’s deck show to upgrade your house, and then stop by Dylan’s for a wine tasting. So that’s Saturday, the rest of the weekend is up to you. So go out and P-Rock it.

Calendar updated!

Hi all.

I was putting out paper recycling on Tuesday night when I realized that I had not updated the Peekskill Rocks 2019 Google calendar. It struck me that I may be putting out paper (a ton of paper recycling after the holidays) and it might not even be a recycling day the next day. Sure enough, I checked the city website and I was a week early. I drove around town the next day and saw many other people with their paper out. I assumed they were Peekskill Rocks fans. This made me a bit happy to see so many Rocks fans, but also sad that I may have let them down with faulty info on the website.

This is a reminder that this website is run by two fellas for free who have very little free time!

Regardless, the calendar is now updated and should be all current according the city’s latest calendar information.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

🚴‍♂️ Critical Mass ✊

Someone just passed Peekskill Rocks a note about an event tomorrow night:

A group of bicyclists in Halloween costumes will be gathering by the riverfront this Friday night at 6:30PM. Word is they’ll be storming the streets of Peekskill ahead of the nor’easter as Peekskill joins the worldwide movement of Critical Mass.

For details on the event and to register, visit the website.
