What’s Up Peekskill? Mom!

Hey there P-Rockers, it’s Mothers Day this weekend so don’t go dissing your Mom. It’s rainy, so think bright and cheery. You can get her some plants at the plant sale at the Riverfront, or if you need to brace yourself for family time, there’s some whiskey tasting at Dylan’s in the afternoon. Then Don McLean will be drinking whiskey and rye at the Paramount that night. Rock out Peekskill.

What’s Up Peekskill? Hurricane Humidity

There’s a woodworking event down at Dain’s Lumber all weekend, Jefferson Starship at the Paramount, mad science at the library, the other usual Peekskill shenanigans, and a Hurricane named after my grand mother pushing more of that dreaded humidity up here (yuk!). So get downtown and P-Rock your humidity away, but let’s give a P-Rockin’ stay-safe shout out to those in the Florence’s path.

What’s Up Peekskill? Presidents.

abeSeven score and 17 years ago, one millinery inclined president-elect brought forth his great oratory to our rockin’ Peekskill forebears. Celebrate that moment this weekend at the newly minted Lincoln Depot Museum at the Peekskill Waterfront. C’mon down and be a part of history. After all, there’s the Drinkin’ with Lincoln Pub Crawl, despite that Honest Abe wasn’t much of a drinker… He did however bartend and own a tavern before he became a lawyer, lawmaker and of course the 16th Potus.
