Sheep and Their Wool: There’s a Festival for That!

New York State annual Sheep and Wool Festival is this weekend—October 18 & 19—at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck.

Check it out at www.sheepandwool.com.

Where else can you get a bacon, lettuce and mutton while knitting a scarf?  (Bacon, lettuce, and mutton not necessarily a real thing.)

But you can buy lamb and wool. Get yourself a golden fleece.

Weather: Elvis Costello’s Umbrella

Best email subject line of the day:

Nor’easter Is Heading Toward Westchester

Thanks, Peekskill Daily Voice newsletter!

If you actually want to read about the rain (and future sun), you can do so at the site here. If you prefer to listen to Elvis Costello singing “When That I Was and a Little Tiny Boy” from Twelfth Night with the accompaniment of saxophonist John Harle, you can hear about how the rain it raineth every day. And a hey, ho, the wind and the rain.

Great boardwalk, kayak launch, pavilion and more. Video will be posted this weekend. Ribbon Cutting Friday, September 12 at 11 am.” Video below.
