Keep your eye out for the GO Peekskill Shuttle that will be debuting soon. Round trips from the train station to some of Peekskill’s finest retailers. GO Peekskill is provided and funded by some of Peekskill’s small business such as Dylan’s Wine Cellar, The Hudson Room, Peekskill Coffee House, Birdsall House and The Quiet Man Public House Pub.

Lots of rain, wind and possible flooding coming our way on Wednesday, October 22.
Get ready—this is big. Here’s the skinny. There’s a swing dance in Peekskill, and it’s all happening at Embark on Saturday, November 8. What’s on the menu? Dig.
7-8 p.m.: NYC dance maestro Bill Kline gives a free lesson in basic swing/lindy hop for everyone at the party—no partner needed. Or bring a friend, a sweetie, a wandering cadet, or a brand-new pal.
8 p.m. to midnight: Dance your head off. The music’s amazing. The dance will make you grin, bounce, shake your moneymaker, and maybe even sing. (It’s damn good exercise, incidentally.)
All night: Eat light refreshments. Drink a little something. Chat up your cadet. Get your mom to tell you stories about sock hops and Nat King Cole. Swing and sway, jump and jive, hoot and holler. You’re going to want to. And you will.

On the Hudson Line this past weekend, every station had a couplet. The faraway, soulful voice of a lyrical conductor announced each town in rhyme, and Peekskill had more lines than the rest. They went:
