peekskillproject

Peekskill Project is a citywide public art festival organized by HVCCA (Hudson Valley Center of Contemporary Art). The project is devoted to bringing contemporary art out of the museum and into the community; specifically into spaces not normally used to present art.

The festival is open to the public and free of charge.

Peekskill Project 6 will feature an exciting variety of sculpture, photography, installation, video and performance art by approximately 60 international and local artists, exhibited in industrial buildings, storefronts, and parks around the city.

Punk Rock Party This Sunday Afternoon At Peekskill Brewery

Last but not least, this Sunday is the final Sunday Funday — the free outdoor music series at The Peekskill Brewery. It was a great season with many awesome artists having performed this year, they are going out with a bang: Punk Rock Afternoon.

Westchester favorites, Jukebox Romantics, are launching their 3 month tour around the states in support of their new record, Transmission Down (Jailhouse Records). This Sunday is one of the first shows on their calendar but they are going coast to coast. Come see them off and wish them well!

Also appearing: my band, Least Best Beast.

The event is free and starts at 4PM. They will be serving great food and beer in the parking lot while you get your face rocked by the entertainment.

Also of note: The Peekskill Brewery is having an event immediately preceding the show, called the Brewer’s Brunch. Sunday, Sept 20, 11-4.

As an end to the Hudson Valley Craft Beer Week celebration, Peekskill Brewery is throwing an all-inclusive Brewer’s Brunch sourced with local Hudson Valley ingredients
