Sadly, Tonight’s Block Party Is Canceled Due to Anger in the Sky

But tomorrow’s supposed to be sky-friendly and musically awesome! From an announcement by Embark Peekskill (and updated info on their Facebook page):

SATURDAY, SEPT. 6: BLOCK PARTY MUSIC SERIES HAS BEEN CANCELLED TODAY due to rain and a severe thunderstorm warning.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 7
Master guitarist LOU UBRIACO @ 5:30 pm
KRISTINA KOLLER JAZZ TRIO @ 6:30 pm

SATURDAY, SEPT. 13
LADY LAURA & Her Blues Band @ 7 pm

Restaurant Row’s SUMMER (into Fall) BLOCK PARTY WEEKEND SERIES has been EXTENDED through Columbus Day Weekend!

Celebrate Downtown Peekskill, Summer AND Fall!
Saturdays 3-11 pm & Sundays 1-9 pm
Performances begin at 6 pm (or 5:30 as it gets darker & cooler).
FREE & FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!

Restaurant Row (North Division St between Main & Central) will be closed to traffic creating a large venue for dining al fresco and outdoor performances.

Fred Gillen, Jr., is a regular at the Coffee House; bookmark his live show schedule for upcoming dates. For all shows, a $5-$10 donation is suggested, but, as he says, “do your best.” Currently on the list:

Friday, August 29, 7 p.m.
Friday, September 26, 7 p.m.
Friday, October 31, 7 p.m.
Friday, November 28, 7 p.m.

Even sooner, he’s appearing at Peekskill’s Drum Hill Senior Living Community on Monday, August 11, at 7 p.m. And on Saturday, August 30, he’ll play the Peekskill Block Party—that’s at 7 p.m. on Division between Central and Main.
